Will I be given a blanket and pillow onboard?

A limited supply of each are carried on selected flights.

What terminal do Flyjet fly from?

London Gatwick – North Terminal

Manchester – Terminal 1

Newcastle – Main terminal

What time do I have to check in?

Check in will open at least 3 hours prior to departure and 2 hours is recommended as a minimum.

Do I have a choice of seating?

Yes / No

Seats are allocated at check in on a first come, first served basis, unless pre-requested. Please see the infomation below to request seating.

Our Boeing 757 aircraft have a total of 233 seats with a configuration of 3 seats / centre aisle / 3 seats

Our standard seat pitch is 29″ Some seats are fitted with 28″ seat pitch.

The entire aicraft is economy.

– Extra Leg Room Seating

It is possible to pre-book extra legroom seats at an additional charge of £17.50 per person, each way.

At present, we cannot take pre-bookings for extra leg room seats on flights from Copenhagen to Goa, Phuket and Bangkok. Extra leg room seats can be booked at check-in. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Payment can be made by cheque or debit/credit card at least 7 days notice is required for pre-payment. It is possible to purchase extra leg room seats at check-in, subject to availability.

Extra leg room seats are situated in the emergency exit rows. For safety reasons, passengers in these seats must be aged 18 years or over, English speaking and ‘able-bodied’ in order to assist with the exit doors in the event of an emergency.

– Group Seating

There is no charge for group seating. The request must be received at least 4 working days prior to departure by Customer Services. Please include all flight numbers, travel dates and full names of all members of the party.

Please note that seating requests are on a request basis only and cannot be guaranteed.

– Infants
They will be seated on parents / guardians lap for the duration of the flight. If you do wish to purchase an additional seat, this can be done through your travel agent tour operator. They will be required to be seated on parent / guardians lap for take off and landing.

If an extra seat is purchased, it is possible for a suitable car seat to be carried onboard for the infants use. Infants / children between 6 months and 3 years can use CAA approved, purpose designed car seats only. They must display the British Kite Mark Certification on the label and be seated next to the window.

Do I have a meal?

Flyjet cater all flights as standard.

* Some flights are not catered at the request of the tour operator. Please check with your travel agent at time of booking.

The meal provided will contain meat, If you require a vegetarian meal this must be ordered with Customer Services at least 4 working days prior to departure.

Can I take my pet onboard?


Animals are not accepted for carriage in the cabin of our aircraft – with exception of Guide or Assistance Dogs.

These Dogs must have correct certification to travel and prior permission is required from Flyjet Customer Services.

Animals can be carried as commercial cargo. It is recommended pets are not sedated. Please seek vetinary advice.

Can I take my sporting equipment?


Flyjet Customer Services must be contacted at least 7 days prior to departure and pre-payment is required for some items.

To be carried within free baggage allowance, or thereafter charged at excess baggage rates. Excess charges can be waived if, diving is the purpose of the holiday. Prior notification and confirmation is required. Air tanks must be empty and valves set to open.

Can I take my wedding dress in the cabin?


Wedding dresses or wedding attire cannot be taken in the aircraft cabin due to space availability. No exceptions to this will be made.

It is recommended that all wedding attire is packed into a hard suitcase and clearly labelled ‘fragile’ and suitably insured.

Extra luggage allowance may be permitted. Please contact Flyjet Customer Services for more information.

What can I take in the cabin and pack in my hold luggage?

For the safety reasons, Flyjet restricts certain articles from passengers’ hand baggage and hold baggage, as well as strictly prohibiting certain items for carriage onboard the aircraft.

The following items are strictly prohibited from carriage:
• Flammable liquids and solids such as lighter or heater fuels
• Oxidising materials such as lighter or heater fuels
• Oxidising materials such as bleaches and peroxides
• Poisons such as arsenic
• Alkalis and wet cell batteries
• Etiologic agents (bacteria, viruses etc.)
• Radio-active materials
• Explosives, fireworks and flares
• Compressed gases (flammable, non-flammable and poisonous) such as butane
• Butane powered travel irons
• Oxygen – If required on medical grounds, please go to Therapeutic Oxygen Information
• Chemical oxygen generators. materials
• Offensive and irritating materials
• Apparatus containing mercury may only be carried as cargo
• Party poppers
• Cooking oil
• Butane powered gas curlers (prohibited unless a safety cover is supplied and is firmly in place)

The following items can be stowed in hold baggage but are strictly prohibited from hand baggage:
• Toy or replica guns
• Catapults
• Razor blades
• Knives with blades of any length
• Scissors
• Nail clippers
• Cutlery
• Hypodermic syringes (except for medical use during flight. A doctor’s certificate will be required and prior advisement is preferred. Please contact Flyjet Customer Services)

Can I take musical instruments?

Musical instruments can be carried as part of your free baggage allowance. They must be checked in to the hold. We recommend they are suitably packed, insured and marked fragile.

How do I book Flyjet flights?

We do not currently offer direct seat sales. Tickets on Flyjet flights can only be purchased via Travel Agents or Tour Operators.

What is my baggage allowance?

– Checked Baggage

Adult and child passengers – 20 kgs per person.
Infants – Nil

Luggage can be combined but each bag must not weigh more than 32 kgs Current European Health and Safety regulations require that no one single bag will weigh over 32kgs. Any bag over this weight will be required to be repacked and weight reduced, if necessary, passengers would be required to acquire an additional bag.

No wheeled bags are permitted in the cabin, regardless of size.

– Hand Baggage

Adult and child passengers – 1 piece of luggage weighing no more than 5kgs per person
Dimensions – 18” x 12” x 8” / 45 x 30 x 20cm
Infants – changing bag permitted.

Laptops and small video camera units shall be considered equivalent to a bag.

– Excess Baggage

Is charged at check in at a rate of £4.00 per kilo*

* As of 01st May 2007, Excess baggage charges will increase to £6.00 per kilo on Shorthaul flights and £10.00 per kilo on Longhaul flights.

Excess Luggage is not guaranteed for carriage, it is dependent upon space and weight on the day.

Can I smoke onboard?


All Flyjet flights are non-smoking.
